Ahmedabad servant took Rs 21 lakh and run away of business man


AHMEDABAD: In Manekchowk, a trader who trades in gold and silver bullion has handed over the task of fetching a large sum of money to a servant. The merchant took the Activa and sent it to another merchant friend. Not returning for a long time was eventually reported to the police. In this case, the Khadia police has registered a case against the person who absconded with Rs 21 lakh.

Utsav lives in Sabarmati with a Jain family. In Gusa Parekh’s Pol in Manekchowk, they trade with a gold and silver bullion office under the name Chitamani. His younger brother Pakshal Jain carries cash and gold and silver goods. For three and a half months, Deepak kept a man named Sen as a servant who was doing small and big work.

Ten days ago, Deepak Sen was sent by Utsav Bhai to his friend Priyam Mehta to collect money. Since Priyam Mehta was doing bullion business at Mochi’s Khadki, they kept money there. As Utsav Bhai’s younger brother was not present, they took Activa and sent it to servant Deepak Sen. Deepak Sen took Activa for Rs 21.37 lakh but did not return for twenty minutes.

Utsavbhai got worried and he called his friend and told him when his servant came and took the money and left. It so happened to Utsavbhai that the servant Deepak may have absconded with the money so they applied to the Khadiya police and after searching for him but the servant Deepak was not found, now the police have registered a complaint and started investigation.
