Deepika Khuman, Ahmedabad: Space Application Center (SAC), ISRO Ahmedabad, Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (Gujarat Council on Science and Technology) , Gandhinagar (GUJCOST) has jointly organized a special outreach program from 3 to 9 April 2022 at Science City to spread awareness about the human spaceflight program ‘Gaganyan’. April 3rd is an important day in Indian history. On April 3, 1984, Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma became the first Indian to go into space. And he spent 7 days, 21 hours and 40 minutes on the Salut 7 space station.
